More than 600 Volunteers Join the Movement to End World Hunger; Stop Hunger Now Partners with Savage to package 150,000 Meals

Stop Hunger Now and Savage are joining forces in the fight against hunger. More than 600 Savage team members, spouses and guests will package 150,000 meals in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 19th to help feed the worlds hungry. Stop Hunger Now meal packaging events are a volunteer-based program that coordinates the streamlined packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables and 23 essential vitamins and minerals.

Trimont Named Special Servicer for 3 World Trade Center

Real estate asset management firm Trimont Real Estate Advisors has been named special servicer on the Liberty Bonds issued for the construction of the new 80-story, $ 1.59 billion 3 World Trade Center project in Manhattan.

The deal, which closed on November 20, names Trimont as Class 3 Special Servicer and initial Controlling Special Servicer of the New York Liberty Development Corporation Revenue Bonds. The proceeds of the bond issuance will be used for the construction of 2.5 million square feet of office space and 144,000 square feet of retail space, all to be built and leased by developer Larry Silverstein and his partners.

Improved economic conditions paved the way for the agreement as the municipal bond markets continue to show improvement. According to a recent statement by Pat Foye, Executive Director of the board for The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, increased real estate investment activity in lower Manhattan includes both development and an appreciating leasing market.

Atlanta-based Trimont has serviced other landmark New York projects including the Chrysler Building, Grand Central Station, the Woolworth Building, the General Motors Building and the Plaza Hotel, as well as $ 4 billion in client capital related to 18 properties along Park Avenue.

2015 Centara World Masters Golf Championship Aiming High

Animal Welfare and Accessible Tourism take the Gold at the World Responsible Tourism Awards 2014

In a special ceremony at the World Travel Markets Global Stage as part of the World Responsible Tourism Day annual celebrations, South African Animal Sanctuary Alliance and Campo and Parque dos Sonhos jointly took the coveted position of Overall Winners from of a selection of 25 finalists gathered from around the world.

The judges wanted to recognise two very different winners – Campo and Parque de Sonhos and South African Animal Sanctuary Alliance – for the overall award said Harold Goodwin, Chair of the Judging Panel.

The Sanctuary Alliance for demonstrating that animal attractions can liberate previously captive wildlife and, without petting or exploitation, be commercially successful. Parque de Sonhos for demonstrating that truly inclusive tourism can enhance the adventure activity experiences for everyone, and enable families and friends to share their leisure and the experiences. Both winners demonstrate that it is possible to address the rights agenda, to swim against the tide, and also achieve a successful business.
